Dr Avhatakali Jonathan Makhado is a Lecturer in the Department of African Languages, Tshivenḓa Section. He has worked for over 5 years in the higher education sector. His fields of interest are Phonetics and Phonology, Morphology, Semantics, Syntax and Folklore. Dr A.J Makhado has since presented some papers in conferences and has also supervised Honours and Masters students. He holds qualifications from the University of Venda College of Education (STD), University of Johannesburg (Diploma in Mathematics Education), University of South Africa (Diploma in Environment Education), University of Venda ( BA Degree), University of Stellenbosch (BA. Hons – African Languages), University of North West (B.Ed Hons- Education management), University of Stellenbosch (Masters of Arts Degree – African Languages, University of Kwazulu Natal (Masters in Environment and Development) and University of Venda (PHD).
