Dr Rendani Mercy Makhwathana is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood Education. She has worked for over 16 years in the higher education sector. For 14 years she served the Department of Basic Education as a school principal. Dr Makhwathana specialises in Language in Education and Early Childhood Education. She has supervised Honours, Masters and PhD students. Dr RM Makhwathana is the member of Communication, Marketing and Website committee in the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education at the University of Venda. She has published extensively in peer reviewed and accredited journals. Among her recent publications are:
