Dr. Mafemani Joseph Baloyi is a Senior Lecturer in the Language Practice section attached to the Department of African Languages. He has worked for four and half years in the higher education sector. He specialises in translation studies and folklore and has published in peer-reviewed and accredited journals. Among his recent publications are: Folktales, Lyrics of Ethical Thinking and Vast Intellectual Wealth and a book chapter, Intersectionality and (Re)marriage: A Perspective of the Xitsonga Socio-cultural Identity. He has supervised fourth year BALP students’ research projects and1 Masters student.
