On campus Residences

 

The student housing unit boasts with 13 on campus residences which offer both single and double rooms.  Our rooms are equipped with amenities such as a bed, study table, chair, wardrobe, and study lamp, we also have rooms that cater for students living with disabilities.  We ensure that our residences are a safe space for our students and provide amenities that enable them to feel at home, each residence has communal kitchens and bathrooms, and there is access to WIFI. The student unit strives to provide a home away from home for our students.

Bernard Ncube Female Residence

Bernard Ncube Residence is one the oldest residences at the University, it has 58 beds and caters mostly for first year students, the residence has communal kitchens and communal bathrooms.

F3 Male Residence

F3 residence has 369 beds and accommodates students living with disabilities on the ground floor. It is a male residence consisting of both single and double rooms.

F6 New Female Residence

New Female Residence (F6) is a senior residence that accommodates 324 female senior students. The residence comprises of 4 blocks which all have communal kitchens bathrooms. The residence also has a TV room as well as a study hall.

Lost City Boys Residence

Lost city boys a senior residence that accommodates male students. It has an overall capacity of 180 beds and communal kitchen and bathrooms.

Mvelaphanda Male Residence

Mvelaphanda male residence was officially opened in 2023, it accommodates 880 male and has communal kitchens and bathrooms and has tv rooms. It also accommodates students living with disabilities.

Carousel Male Residence

Carousel Male Residence accommodates 119 male students and comprises of mostly double rooms and single rooms.

F4 Female Residence

F4 Residence is a female only residence with 372 beds, that also accommodates students living with disabilities on the ground floor. The residence has both single and double rooms, and caters for both first year and senior students.

F6 New Female Residence

New Female Residence (F6) is a senior residence that accommodates 324 female senior students. The residence comprises of 4 blocks which all have communal kitchens bathrooms. The residence also has a TV room as well as a study hall.

Lost City Girls Residence

Lost city boys a senior residence that accommodates female students. It has an overall capacity of 180 beds and communal kitchen and bathrooms.

Riverside Postgraduate Residence

Riverside residence has 256 beds and accommodates postgraduate student only. It accommodates both males and females.

Mango grove Residence

Mango Grove Residence has 124 beds, it has both single and double rooms and accommodates mostly first years in double rooms and single rooms for senior students. This residence boasts with a rich history having been in existence for just over 35 years.

F5 Female Residence

F5 residence accommodates 129 students both first years and seniors, it also offers rooms that accommodate students living with disabilities as well as international students. There are communal kitchens and bathrooms, as well as a study area.

F6 Male Residence

New Male Residence is a senior residence that accommodates 308 senior male students. It has communal kitchens and bathrooms.

Mvelaphanda Female Residence

Mvelaphanda Female Residence is one of the new residences that was officially opened in 2022. It has 904 single rooms; it has communal kitchen and bathrooms and accommodates student living with disabilities.
