Dr Emma Charlene Lubaale has been recognised by the National Research Foundation (NRF) for demonstrated research productivity and positioning herself as an NRF emerging rated researcher in the School of Law. On the basis of the quality and impact of her recent research output, she received an NRF Y2 rating which will be valid from 1st January 2020.
The achievement of Dr Lubaale as an NRF Y2 rated researcher is crucial in the development of black female academics at UNIVEN. Dr Lubaale is extremely humbled and elated about the recognition. The Dean of School of Law, Professor Lonias Ndlovu, congratulates Dr Lubaale for the recent NRF rating achievement. He believes her rating will inspire other researchers to equally become rated. Dr Ndlovu hopes that she will work hard to become an established researcher in five years. In commending Dr Lubale, the Director of Research and Innovation, Senior Professor Georges Ekosse, expressed with passion that Research is complete when it is disseminated, shared and recognised as new knowledge for the benefit of 2
humankind. The mandate of the Directorate of Research and Innovation is to make research at UNIVEN a pivot around which academic activities revolve.
