The Research Grant Proposal Writing Workshop is an initiative that Senior Professor Georges Ekosse, Director of Research and Innovation set as a research activity priority to be held early in the year 2018. The Workshop was held at the Research Conference Centre on the 1st February 2018. There is competition for limited research funds which is increasingly intense in all universities. In order to secure funding, it is thus essential that applicants pay attention to the craft of winning research grant proposal or funding. This workshop aimed at empowering researchers in preparation for Funding Opportunities Call scheduled for 2018.

Ms N Dube and Mr S Lotz from the National Research Foundation (NRF) served as the principal facilitators of the workshop. The highlight of the workshop was on the importance of grant application review process and the different stages involved.
