Dr Brian Mantlana of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) paid a courtesy visit

From the 28^th to 30^th of August 2023, the Ismail Mahomed Centre for Human and Peoples Rights welcomed Dr Brian Mantlana of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, South Africa.  A member of the. Presidential Climate Change Coordinating Commission, Dr Brian shared his wealth of experience on climate negotiations at the UN with  LLM Human Rights students of UNIVEN offering Environmental Law & Policy. He then exchanged views on strategies and collaborations with the Interim Director of the Ismail Mahomed Centre for Human and Peoples’ Rights, Professor Ademola Oluborode Jegede. Key highlights of the meetings include advocacy and research agendas for climate change and human rights and future involvement of the Ismail Mahomed Centre for Human and Peoples’ Rights in the relevant works of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research..
