Transforming and shaping future leaders

Under the esteemed leadership of Professor Modimowabarwa Kanyane, a leading expert in governance, the Faculty of Management, Commerce, and Law at the University of Venda is dedicated to fostering a dynamic and supportive educational environment.

At the Faculty of Management, Commerce and Law, we are committed to enhancing student success by ensuring our graduates possess critical competencies that align with today’s rapidly changing job market.

We are here as Faculty to equip students with the essential skills and attributes needed to excel in their future careers by embracing design and critical thinking, problem-solving, ethical reasoning, effective communication, independence and team effort in our teaching pedagogies.

Our innovative programmes (the tourism management program, for example, has undergone external reviews infusing work-integrated learning) integrate these competencies through experiential learning and industry practicums, ensuring that students gain practical experience alongside theoretical knowledge.
