The University of Venda (UNIVEN) Football Club is an affiliated club under the SAFA (South African Football Association) Vhembe Region and competes under the Hollywood Bets League Stream D-2. During the 2023/24 season, the club played 24 games with an impressive winning record of 18 games, 2 draws, 4 losses and the highest goal difference of 37. UNIVEN Football Club was crowned the champions after winning the Stream D-2 League with 56 points. It will again participate in the SAFA Vhembe Group Winners and Champ of Champs Play offs which is a historic moment for UNIVEN FC in two consecutive years.

The Sport and Recreation Unit would like to thank the University Community for the support in rallying behind the team to achieve this historic victory as the defending champions. UNIVEN FC is waiting for official communication from the SAFA Vhembe Secretariat Office regarding the exact fixtures (dates, time and venues) of the Group Winners and Champ of Champs Play Offs.
