The University of Venda will be hosting SABC Limpopo Combo to celebrate World Radio Day on Sunday, 13 February 2022 from 09h00 to 14h00 at the Cafeteria Lapa.
World Radio Day is celebrated worldwide on February 13. UNIVEN Fm in partnership with SABC Limpopo Combo comprising of Munghana Lonene Fm, Thobela Fm and Phalaphala Fm will demonstrate how radio is still a formidable force that continues to change lives across the globe. The objective of World Radio Day is to raise public awareness on the importance of radio and encourage decision makers to use it to provide access to information, and to improve international co-operation among broadcasters.
The SABC will broadcast various programmes live from the University of Venda campus and further wishes to use the opportunity to impart knowledge of the industry and its current dynamics with staff and students.
