Univen graduates are waving the University of Venda flag very high. They are excelling against their career endeavours. The youngest Doctor Vhahangwele Masindi – Pr. Sci. Nat.), since the University of Venda’s inception has done it again at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), he received a prestigious accolade for being the best emerging researcher for 2016 CSIR excellence awards.
Earlier this year he had received another award of an emerging researcher at unit level –Hydraulic Infrastructure Engineering group. In 2015, he received a Murray & Robert award for the best technology he developed for mine water treatment. In 2014 he received a professional accreditation from SACNASP as a professional natural scientist. He has been appointed as a research associate in the University of South Africa (2016). This further confirms that the University of Venda graduates are very sharp and competent in the market.
Dr Masindi completed his PhD at an age of 28. He is the co-founder of EMEM Environmental Service (Pty) Ltd and he has been doing work for several companies and government agencies. He has published numerous papers in accredited journals with high impact factor, books, chapters and filed 2 international patents (UNIVEN-CSIR jointly) at the states, Canada and Argentina. His goal is to fight hard to establish himself and become a determined entrepreneur who is willing to give back to the University of Venda by employing their respective graduates.
Dr. Vhahangwele Masindi (Pr. Sci. Nat.) is a graduate from the school of Environmental Sciences at the University of Venda. He did all his degrees at the University of Venda (B. Environmental Management, MSc. Environmental Management and PhD. Environmental Sciences). University of Venda is very proud of him for representing them in the best research centre in Africa.
